Synopsis
Between me and my mom, we share different perspectives from our mutual trauma. The mom and the daughter put a wall between each other and hurt one another without seeing one’s pain. This film is about our two different sides of stories we have never shared.
Born in South Korea and educated in Vienna and Rotterdam, Young-Ju is a filmmaker whose work bridges Korean and Western European cinematic languages. Her films explore themes of cultural identity, communication, and intimacy, often drawing on personal cross-cultural experiences. With a background in conceptual art and audiovisual design, She creates conceptual visuals with emotionally resonant stories that offer both understanding and consolation.
