Kaitlyn Seibold is a Calgary-based choreographer, movement artist, educator, and emerging filmmaker originally from Saskatchewan. She holds a BFA in Dance Performance from Toronto Metropolitan University and an MFA in Choreography and Collaboration from York University. She is a Contemporary Instructor in the Professional Division at Alberta Ballet School and works across performance, choreography, education, and interdisciplinary creation. Her artistic practice explores movement as a form of storytelling, with a particular interest in memory, human connection, theatricality, and the intersection of dance and narrative. In My Room marks an expansion of her choreographic practice into filmmaking.
